Kotaro's professional journey began in December 2014 with NoNameKids (NNK), participating in the i-League Season 2. While this initial tournament didn't yield a prize, it marked the start of his extensive career. His early teams were largely based in Peru, and he played alongside various players such as cptn, Госпожа Удача, sTeeP, and Standin.sh3m in his first team. These early experiences laid the foundation for his future success, allowing him to hone his skills and gain valuable experience in competitive play. His early career saw him play for several Peruvian teams before achieving greater recognition in the later years.
Throughout his career, Kotaro has represented approximately 40 different teams, a testament to both his skill and the dynamic nature of the South American Dota 2 competitive landscape. He's gained significant experience playing with a variety of players across different team structures and styles. While many of these teams were regional, his involvement with teams like Thunder Awaken and more recently, INF, showcases his ability to compete at a higher level. His time with these teams has led to his considerable tournament success and prize winnings.
Kotaro has participated in over 180 tournaments throughout his career, achieving numerous top-three finishes (around 39 podium finishes in total, including approximately 17 first place finishes). While many of his earlier tournaments resulted in no prize placements, his recent appearances in events like EPL World Series America Season 15 (where he secured a third-place finish with EBs) highlight his continued competitiveness. His participation in a wide array of tournaments demonstrates his dedication and longevity within the highly competitive Dota 2 scene.
