YONA's professional journey began in June 2021 with InterActive Philippines (IAP). His debut was at the Dragon Nest Championship, although the team didn't secure a prize. His early career also saw him compete with other players such as Kim0, Matthew, Luciano, and Marb at IAP. His performance quickly caught attention, leading to a significant win at the Perfect Land Gaming Season 1 (PLG S1) with Execration (XctN) in July 2021, earning him a share of the $15,000 prize pool. This early success cemented his position as a promising talent within the competitive Dota 2 community.
Throughout his career, YONA has represented seven different teams, showcasing his versatility and ability to adapt to diverse team dynamics. Notable teams include Execration, Neon Esports (a top 23 team globally at one point), and MAG (Myth Avenue Gaming), another top team globally.
