Over the course of their existence, BpG has participated in approximately 20 tournaments, receiving direct invitations to two of them. Their tournament history includes a mix of both online and LAN events, ranging from smaller regional competitions to larger, more prestigious events like ESL One Hamburg 2019 Open Qualifiers. While many of their tournament appearances haven't resulted in prize placements, their participation highlights their commitment to the competitive scene and their continuous striving for improvement. Recent tournaments include DreamLeague Season 23 and Winline Insight Season 5.
Throughout its history, BpG has seen a large roster turnover, with over 80 players having donned the BpG tag at some point. Notable players include Skylark, NOOB1TO, PLEB, and others. Currently, the team does not have an officially announced active roster. The initial lineup consisted of bOne7, Artes, badman, MasterRisk, and Rambo. This high player turnover reflects the challenges faced by many smaller Dota 2 teams in maintaining a stable and consistently performing roster.
Currently, Backpacks Gaming is unranked in both the global and regional Dota 2 leaderboards. Despite their consistent participation in tournaments and their long history, they have yet to break into the top tiers of competitive Dota 2. Their focus appears to be on continued participation and development rather than immediate high-level ranking achievements.
