Throughout their career, EM participated in roughly 14 tournaments, receiving direct invitations to five of them. Their early success began with a victory at the Overwatch APEX Challengers Season 5, and their later years saw them consistently place highly in the Overwatch Contenders series. Notably, they secured first place in the Overwatch Contenders 2020 Season 2, taking home a $20,000 prize. Other notable tournament performances include a second-place finish at the Huya Stars Cup and victories in the China & Korea Battle Invitational. Their final tournament was the Overwatch Contenders 2020 The Gauntlet, where they finished in 4th place.
EM maintained a relatively stable roster throughout its existence, with approximately 15 players contributing to the team's success over the years. Early members included Jecse, Happy, FEARLESS, Daco, SP9RK1E, and Guard, while later players such as Undine, Alpha, RAPEL, Doha, Hanbin, Takoyaki, Xzi, Unique, and MCD also played significant roles. However, the team currently does not have an official roster.
While Element Mystic enjoyed considerable success in individual tournaments and accumulated a strong win record, they never achieved a high placement in the official Overwatch global or regional rankings. This is likely due to the competitive nature of the scene and the high number (around 224) of professional and semi-professional teams vying for top spots during their active years.
